God is good and faithful! Today, I have just finalized and signed the last scholarship papers and returned them to make it 100% official. Abdul Osman, who just graduated, has signed to attend a four year university on a full athletic scholarship! Abdul will be attending Southern University of New Orleans and will be studying Elementary Education and Elementary Education Administration.

God is so good. Abdul didn’t play much this year. He simply was not ready and had not developed enough till almost the end of the season. Abdul worked very hard all year despite not getting much playing time. He served as a team captain and never lost hope that he would achieve his goal. This situation shows how God has His hand on this whole ministry, because in no way could I have gotten Abdul in school on my own. This truly is a God thing, for someone to take a chance on him and give him a full ride including all meals! The university athletic director said they were signing Abdul not based on where he is today, but where he will be tomorrow. He then said that based on the research they have done on our program and how well our former students have done, it was a “no brainer” for them to take this chance! Praise the Lord for His favor upon us!

Today I had a conversation that we often hate to have, one that makes you reflect into your personal life in such a way that you have to take account for your actions and choices you have made. As I sat at my laptop this afternoon, I wondered what today’s motivational would be, and many times I choose them by a personal need in my own life. Today you see that I have chosen a motivational concerning practice (and this is a T. Cole original lol):

“Practice is the effort that makes Winning Possible” continue

Flyers can make history. No team in tournament 38 year history has ever won 3 in a row, but Flyers are tourney number 1 seed and are the favorites to do so.

As many of you know, the team will be participating in a tournament in Ontario, Canada this week & weekend. This is a very important tournament – it’s called the Guy Vetrie Memorial, and it’s the 38th year of the tourney; New Creations has won it the previous two seasons. New Creations is the only American team that has ever won it two times in a row; there has never been any team to win it three years in a row. Well, the Flyers have a chance to make history this week. The tourney in years past has been a great experience for our kids, and what I believe has been a great tune up in route to our run to win the National Championship the last two seasons. continue

Don’t allow yourself to be overwhelmed by the task of the day or the day itself. I recommend you take care of the minutes and the hours will take care of themselves.

Live in and do what you can in the moment not the year, month, day or even hour. Simply take care of right this minute and you will manage to find your success rate will be much higher.

He who has never learned to obey cannot be a good leader or commander, and he who hasn’t learned to follow will never be able to lead. All great leaders are submitted to someone of a higher authority.

Want to be a great leader? Then be submitted and obedient.

Some wish for it! Some work for it! (Who are you?) Talking about it won’t make it so! The man who puts his words into action is the man who will accomplish that wish he has through the hard work he puts forth!
(What man are you?)
