Today I had a conversation that we often hate to have, one that makes you reflect into your personal life in such a way that you have to take account for your actions and choices you have made. As I sat at my laptop this afternoon, I wondered what today’s motivational would be, and many times I choose them by a personal need in my own life. Today you see that I have chosen a motivational concerning practice (and this is a T. Cole original lol):

“Practice is the effort that makes Winning Possible”

But the reason I have chosen this for today is because, while I was planning on writing something else, that conversation I spoke of made me sit and reflect on my action and my choices in recent days and weeks, and I had to really search my heart and look at where I was in my daily walk with GOD. I began to see this afternoon that it’s so easy to get caught up in being in the ministry that it’s so easy to not PRACTICE. I find myself thinking that, if we’re not careful, we begin to think that our job is our faith, and that what we do is simply enough for GOD. Well that’s wrong, our relationship with him has nothing to do with are position. We are still required to walk and live in such a way that those who don’t know Christ will see him in each of us. So today the motivational is:

“Practice is the effort that makes Winning Possible”

The practice I speak of has nothing to do with sport, but it is training. The practice I’m talking about is reading the Word, talking with God everyday, and asking him to make sure that we’re on the path he has for us daily. In full time ministry, it’s so easy to say “I’m already doing what God called me to do” and become very comfortable. I started this motivational by saying how today I had one of the conversations we hate to have, but, now that I look back, I am thankful that God has placed people in my life to pull my chain and allow me to get back in line. If we practice in our walk, then we will win in life. Sometimes we have conversations we don’t want to have. In our heart, we know we need to hear them; if we take them in with an open heart, we can begin to make progress in our personal and spiritual life. Let’s all PRACTICE.
